Young Maiden's Daybook: March 16

Today...
March 16, 2009

Outside my window…
It's a rather cloudy, chilly day.

I am thinking…
My cup of hot chocolate is very yummy!

I am thankful for…
The privilage of prayer...
being able to approach God Almighty
and cast our cares on Him for He cares for us.

I am wearing…
My blue checkered dress
and my hair in 2 braids...
(so glad the layers are long enough to stay in braids now)

I am reading…
2 Kings, Psalms, Proverbs, 2 Thessalonians (KJB);
"Tortured for Christ" by Richard Wurmbrand
"The Total Money Makeover" by Dave Ramsey

I am creating…
...fixing the mistake I made on an afghan
and, also, need to hem a dress I made Saturday.

One of my favorite things…
Hot beverages!
(hot cocoa, coffee, tea... YUM!)

For education this week…
I'M FINISHED WITH GOVERNMENT & ECONOMICS!!! Yea!
I need to write 1 last essay in Literary Analysis,
keep up in Advanced Biology, finish Modern Greek,
and finish writing my graduation speech.

A keeper at home skill I am using/learning…
Being 'good with children'.

A spiritual lesson I’m learning…
Becoming a prayer warrior.
The Lord's really been convicting me that since
there may not be much I can do physically,
I have no reason that I cannot spend "extra" time in prayer!

A godly character trait I plan to work on…
Charity...
suffereth long, is kind, envieth not, vaunteth not itself,
isn't puffed up, behaveth not unseemly, seeketh not her own,
is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil, rejoiceth not in iniquity,
rejoiceth in truth, beareth all things, believeth all things,
hopeth all things, endureth all things, and never faileth!

Scripture I am memorizing…
1 Corinthians 13:4-8

I am praying for…
Charity in myself.
For our church (and myself) not to become lukewarm,
but for God to set His people on fire.

For the rest of the week…
Getting closer to the end of finishing school,
Park Day Friday, make a cake,
work on choosing or writing an offeratory piece,
work on my mom & I's music cd,
and Stephani & I's music cd, and hem 2 dresses.

A picture I’d like to share...

Wow! Sounds like you have a busy schedule this week. I also can't wait for the end of school year. That will mean I will be going up to eleventh grade, which means one more year for me. Then college.

Blessings,
Alli

Hello! :) I found the Simple Maiden's Daybook through another blogger and I decided to try it out too!
Ahh...I remember Government and Economics! Finished it last fall I think :) I loved it too!!
So is your afghan crocheted or knitted? I love crocheting! Recently I have been making doilies and lace.

Have a blessed day!

Modern Greek sounds interesting. :)
I love what you said about spending more time in prayer since we're not physically capable of doing as much as we'd like.
I really like the picture you posted! The flowers are so pretty.

Dear Alexandra,

I did it this week! What curriculum did you use for government and economics. I love hot coca too. I have a cup every morning. (Even in the summer) :)

Thanks for your comment! Yes, I wish I lived closer to a lot of blog friends! It seems like the majority of my blog friends live on the east coast. A whole country apart!

I will have to think about doing the Young Maiden's Daybook.

It has been kind of hard organizing our room. I am having to get rid of a lot of stuff, because we had to sacrifice some storage space, which we replaced with a greatly desired desk under the window. As to the desk, we love it!

By the way, your profile picture is beautiful!

Have a very bright, very cheerful day!

Yes, we do make our own clothes. How neat to start a crocheting business!
