Officially Omitting Online Operations

***Sticky Post***
This post will remain on top until the end of the month.
Scroll down for newer posts,

including A Young Maiden's Daybook posts,

Things have been quite busy this summer...
I don't recall all that we've been doing
but the days are passing by quickly.
As the days are flying by,
I find myself feeling some self-induced pressure
to try to find time to blog and trying to find
something to blog about.
Therefore, I've come to the decision that I am going to
take the month of July off from posting...
This way I can enjoy the calm pleasures of summer
when we aren't so busy.

I still plan to post my daybook every Monday,
which I've only been doing anyway;
but I just wanted to make it official.

So I hope you all enjoy your July
(particularly this Saturday as
we celebrate our country's independence)
and I hope to be more inspired
to have a "real" post next month.

Happy Summer and God bless!

Young Maiden's Daybook - July 27

Today…
July 27, 2009
SORRY SO LATE! Internet was down this morning.

Outside my window…
A cloudy, yet still sunny day.

I am thinking…
Of the music festival at church tonight :)

I am thankful…

For being able to cut my medication dosage in half!!
I've also been in a lot less pain lately! Praise the LORD!

I am wearing…
Blue skirt and blue shirt

I am reading…
2 Chronicles, Psalms, Proverbs, Mark;

"The Church That Jesus Built"

I am creating…

Crafts for Vacation Bible School-
this year I'm working with the 4th-6th graders.

One of my favorite things…
God's refreshing Word!!!
It sure is cool, clear water to my thirsty soul!

For education this week…

I'm a graduate, what should I do??
jk... I'm now "homecolleged", as my friend's youngest sister says.
Daughters at Home University... studying to be Keepers at Home =)

A keeper at home skill I am using/learning...

Motherhood skills... and nursing skills (mom's laid down sick)

A spiritual lesson I'm learning...

Charity. Really agape-loving people.

A godly character trait I plan to work on…
Submitting to and honoring those in authority.

Scripture I am memorizing…
Matthew 10:6-42

I'm praying for…
My mom as she's laid down with a bad UTI.
Please pray for her, as she's not doing well at all.

For the rest of the week…
Our church's music festival tonight and tomorrow,
keeping up the house, hopefully seeing mom feel better,
Will's 11th birthday Saturday (goodness, is he really that old??),
preparing for my uncle on Thursday,
spend extra time with my wonderful Savior,
and whatever else the Lord sees fit to send my way.

A picture I’d like to share...
A picture I took of a bluejay and a verse I added...

It's Isaiah 40:26,"Lift up your eyes on high,
and behold who hath created these things,
that bringeth out their host by number:
he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might,
for that he is strong in power; not one faileth."

Have a great week!

Young Maiden's Daybook - July 20

Today…
July 20, 2009

Outside my window…
Cloudy and rainy day.

I am thinking…
Of the song "Victory in Jesus"...
it was actually playing in the living room.

I am thankful…

For the break in the exhausting heat!

I am wearing…
Some house clothes-
a brown dress

I am reading…
1 Chronicles, Psalms, Proverbs, Matthew;

"The Church That Jesus Built"

I am creating…

A list of what to make everyone for Christmas...
only 23 weeks away, and that's not a long time
when I do homemade gifts (usually crocheted)!

One of my favorite things…
Not-fat vanilla yogurt... (good for my lactose intolerance)
I especially like McDonald's yogurt parfaits... YUM!

For education this week…

Foreign languages and Keeper at Home skills.

A keeper at home skill I am using/learning...

Motherhood skills and interacting with children.

A spiritual lesson I'm learning...

Meekness.

A godly character trait I plan to work on…
Submitting to and honoring those in authority.

Scripture I am memorizing…
Matthew 10:6-42

I'm praying for…
Missionaries to be sent to Greece,
as well as revival in our churchs across America.

For the rest of the week…
Deeply organizing my room,
crocheting, buying more yarn,
practicing steel guitar, learning languages, send out some letters,
spend extra time with my wonderful Savior,
and whatever else the Lord sees fit to send my way.

A picture I’d like to share...
My new guitar I bought the other day...

It's an electric acoustic, so I can plug it into
an amp instead of have a microphone in front of it,
and I can still play it without an amp, if needed.

Have a great week!
