Young Maiden's Daybook - September 21

Today…

September 21, 2009

O
utside my window…

The sun is shining brightly,

and the weather is getting cooler!!

I
am thinking…

Of going in the kitchen to make some oatmeal.

I
am thankful…

For the Holy Spirit's prodding.

How privileged we are to be talked to by
God Almighty, yet we often take so light of it.

I
am wearing...

I'm not quite sure yet what I'll wear today.

I am reading…

2 Chronicles, Psalms, Proverbs, Ezekiel, Mark, Titus;
"A Heart For God" by Dr.Paul Chapel
"Waiting For Her Issac"

"Do Hard Things" by Alex and Brett Harris

I
am creating…

Some new crochet project... I'm not sure what yet.

O
ne of my favorite things…

Revivals!

They are always so refreshing and encouraging to me.

F
or education this week…

"homecollege" a.k.a Daughter at Home University =)
preparing to be a Keeper at Home, for the mission field,
and studying Bibliography, Theology, & Christology.
Also getting fluent in Modern Greek.

A keeper at home skill I am using/learning...

Not being excessivly sleepy and getting up to my alarm clock.
(which is difficult with having CFS)

A
spiritual lesson I'm learning...

Submission to those in authority...
it does get harder (yet even more essential)
when in the stages of young adulthood!

A godly character trait I plan to work on…

Really controling my thought life.

The mind is such a battlefield!

S
cripture I am memorizing…

I'm hoping to start memorizing 1 John 3.

I
'm praying for…

Revival tonight and through Wednesday.

F
or the rest of the week…

Revival through Wednesday,

keeping up the house; Chiropractor today,
busy crocheting and preparing for Christams gifts,
getting around to posting,
respond to some comments and emails,
spend extra time with my wonderful Savior,
and whatever else the Lord sees fit to send my way.

A
picture I’d like to share...

As we were going over a bridge to a nearby island...

I thought the view was gorgeous and the water so blue!

Have a great week!

Hi! I was wondering if you would like to do a virtual Bible Study over the weekends sometimes. Like, Instant chat, read Bible verses, and discuss what we read? If you are interested we can comment back and forth, or e-mail.

Hi,
I enjoyed reading this post.
What is `HomeCollege` like.
My boys have been Homeschooled (they are now 15 & 17) and I am contemplating `collegehomeschool`
What do you suggest?
I don't know what the 15yr old wants to do. The 17yr wants to work with computers. This year he took an A+ Certification course online through a local college.
Thanks,
Michelle
