Calligraphy and More...

While my friends were visiting on Friday,
we decided to pull out my calligraphy pens and ink.
I like the Old English penmanship and decided to practice it.
After they left I decide to practice some more
and worked at writing my favorite verse...

The past couple of days have been busy but fun.
My friends spent the night Friday
and also last night.
We had lots of fun together and made the suppers.
Today we also babysat the younger ones so that
the moms could have some special time together.

It's so relaxing to sit down and rest the remainder of the day!
And I hear 'my' hungry cardinals outside chirpping.
Poor things... it rained and flooded their birdseed.
There was a mourning dove earlier trying to fish for seed,
but wasn't succesful.
We've had birds galore lately!
The ground seems to be moving with all the baby
house finches and mourning doves.
There's also a few baby cardinals and lots of bluejays.
Today I saw some baby black capped chickadees for the first time!
In fact, I see the baby cardinal is out now...
I should probably go give them some more food.
I just love God's creation!

Ally,

I love calligraphy! Yours is so beautiful! Mom and I always wanted to learn how to do that. That is my favorite verse also. I'm glad that ya'll have friends around that you can fellowship with!

About the Sorrells... Bro. Stephen is doing well. The docter said that the wound will heal on its own. I don't know if I said this, but he had bleeding in his brain. Doc. _____ said that it has stopped bleeding or almost stopped so that is good! His personality has really changed and the docter said that it was because of a bruise on his brain. Doc. _____ said that will heal in time like a regular bruise! Praise the Lord!!!!

I'll copy and paste what I just said there instead of re-typing!!!

Do you know Bro. Phil Dice? He is an Evangelist and his family sings. The have a son and daughter that are married and a son and daughter that are still at home! Thier son, Andy (17), got saved yesterday!!!! He can play the mandolin VERY good! Thier daughter's name is Cindy. She's 14. Cindy plays the bass and thier dad plays the guitar. They sing very well. It's like blue grass. Oh well, better go!

Your calligraphy is so pretty! And Isaiah 40:31 is one of my most favorite verses too! What book did you learn from?

What pretty calligraphy! My mom is very good at it. She has even been paid to write things in calligraphy before. I have not tried it yet. It looks fun, though I don't have good handwriting, so I probably wouldn't be good at calligraphy either.

I'm glad to hear Bro.Sorrell is healing. Still praying! How wonderful that Dr.Dice's son received salvation!!!
I've never heard of that family, but they sound nice to know.
