Young Maiden's Daybook - October 19

Today…
October 19, 2009

Outside my window…
Crisp and bright with a clear blue sky.

I am thinking…
I LOVE this weather!
40 degrees this morning feeling like 30s!

I am thankful…
For the marvelous privilege of prayer!
I'm so glad that the Holy Spirit intercedes for me,
and that I'm called to intercede
for others by praying for them.

I am wearing...
A pink open collared dress with buttons
and an elastic waist (60s-style).

I am reading…
2 Chronicles, Proverbs, Ezekiel, Matthew;
"A Heart For God" by Dr.Paul Chapel
"Do Hard Things" by Alex and Brett Harris
"Choosing Gratitude" by Nancy Leigh DeMoss with Mama ;o)

I am creating…
A crocheted baby afghan and another tea cozy for my etsy shop.
Also, I'm making the cake for a baby shower this Saturday.

One of my favorite things…
A clean kitchen!!
(which I really need to go and make)

For education this week…
"homecollege" a.k.a Daughter at Home University =)
preparing to be a Keeper at Home, for the mission field,
and studying in-depth Ecclesiology.
Also getting fluent in Modern Greek.

A keeper at home skill I am using/learning...
Not being excessivly sleepy and getting up to my alarm clock.
(which is difficult with having CFS)

A spiritual lesson I'm learning...
Renewing my mind and keeping it pure.
What a battleground! I really need to be taking every
thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

A godly character trait I plan to work on…
Being truly content with the situations the Lord has put me in.

S cripture I am memorizing…
I'll be looking into 1 Corinthians 7 for some.
and Joshua 22:5 with my family

I'm praying for…
The Lord's guidance through my life,
as well as a person I plan to continue witnessing to
and invite to church the next time I see them.
Also praying that He sends more missionaries to
the much needed country of Greece.

For the rest of the week…
Getting out to Micheal's for some cake supplies,
a baby shower this Saturday; keeping up the house;
working on the music for the baby shower,
working on instrument arrangements,
busy crocheting and hopefully listing
some more things on my etsy site,
responding to some comments and emails,
spend extra time with my wonderful Savior,
and whatever else the Lord sees fit to send my way.

A picture I’d like to share...
(This is from a pond in Michigan near my papa's house.
I made the effect of reflecting the words in the water.)

"Pond Ponderings"...

"The voice of the LORD is upon the waters.
The God of glory thundereth; the LORD is upon many waters."
Psalms 29:3

Oh, Do Hard Things is a really good book! What are you thinking of it so far?

As to what I do with my finished projects, the purse and slippers I am using, however many times I don't like what I make, and they sit around collecting dust until I get rid of them. I also love to knit things for others. Right now I am working on a cropped cardigan for my sister.

Have a very bright, very cheerful day!

Hello Miss Alexandra!

Lovely daybook entry! I'm so glad that you created this meme! It's really a blessing every week that I am able to complete it.

Your Etsy shop is simply delightful! I have my eye on that peach hat.... hmmm... very beautiful creations, indeed! Lovely, lovely!

Christ's blessings!

Your sister in Christ,
Shelby L'Rae

Hey, Could I have your e-mail, that is if you have one? I would like to know if you would like to do a daily devotion with me, and we could IM or E-mail each other about what we have read. If you send me your e-mail through comment, I will not publish the comment.
