Young Maiden's Daybook - April 6

Today…
April 6, 2009

Outside my window…
It's cloudy and windy...
about 70% chance of rain!!

I am thinking…
About starting to set my alarm clocks...
yes, BOTH of them, so I can get up as I would like to!

I am thankful for…

God's wonderful love to send
His Son to die for me!
And that the debt for my sin is paid in full!!

I am wearing…

My green dress with brown ribbon.

I am reading…
1 Chronicles, Psalms, Proverbs, Habbakuk, Titus (KJB);
"Shadow of the Almighty" by Elisabeth Elliot;
"The Total Money Makeover" by Dave Ramsey

I am creating…

Various crocheted projects.

One of my favorite things…
My Love Letter from God!
(My King James Bible!)

For education this week…

DONE with Advanced Biology!!
FINISHED my speech!!
All I have left is Modern Greek!

A keeper at home skill I am using/learning…

Trying to rise early!!
I'm afraid I've always been a late sleeper...
especially since I first hit my early teens.

A spiritual lesson I'm learning...
Meditating on God's Word.
Even when God says to 'stop and meditate' (Selah),
do we ever really stop? And actually meditate?

A godly character trait I plan to work on…
Charity... suffereth long, is kind, envieth not, vaunteth not itself,
isn't puffed up, behaveth not unseemly, seeketh not her own,
is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil, rejoiceth not in iniquity,
rejoiceth in truth, beareth all things, believeth all things,
hopeth all things, endureth all things, and never faileth!

Scripture I am memorizing…

2 Timothy 2:19
"Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure,
having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his.
And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity."

1 Peter 4:11
"If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God;
if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth:
that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ,
to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen."

For the rest of the week…
Teaching piano Tuesday, finishing up school,
getting/sending (?) graduation invitations, possible spring cleaning.

A
picture I’d like to share...
My new capo for my guitar came in Saturday!!!

I've loved using it already! It definately helps a LOT!

Hope you have a great week!

Sorry, I didn't do my post this week. Last weekend was full of cleaning and loud screaming kids. :) Now we are trying to catch up on everything. ;)

Blessings,
Miss Alli

I know what you mean about the late to rise thing, I have alot of issues with rising early. I'm just a night owl at heart. Though I got up at 8:30 this morning, but that was because I have a nasty sunburn that won't let me sleep all the way through the night...
Great point on meditating on God!

HI! I just did my post, and thought I'd drop a comment too. I have a question. How big do you make your blog banners before uploading them? Do you upload them directly from your computer, or to a site, then to your blog? I have several I have made, but I can't figure out how to upload them.
Have a great day!
God Bless!

I'm back! :) Last week was so busy! So, here I am sitting last at night doing it ;) Good idea to rise early! I have always been a early to bed person...but for some reason, I still have to work on the early to rise :) That has been one of my goals for this year.

Hello! Finally got my entry in. Heh, I know it's pretty late... but I enjoy doing them so I decided to go ahead anyway.

I agree about rising early. I set my alarm this morning, woke up, was totally awake, and did the unwise thing of just "laying there for a second." I ended up waking up at 8:30... *sigh* I'm going to try again tomorrow!

Christ's blessings!

To answer your question...that I just noticed...LOL

I'm really enjoying Ramsey's book. I figure I'd better learn about the mistakes I could make now before I actually make them, LOL

Hello!
Thank you for the nice comments! Sorry mine have been short and not very often! I should be around more now.

May I ask what a capo does - my sister plays guitar but she's only a beginner.

Have a good week!
