Week In Review...

This week was a very busy one, it seems.
On Sunday, Pastor had a candy hunt for the
children after the morning service...

The candy at our house is almost gone!
Thankfully, the children shared with mom and I :-)

Tuesday, I think, Will and I sat down to watch
Kent Hovind together... gotta love his sessions!

We sent out my graduation invitations on Thursday...

Among the invitations was one sent to Dr.Wile :-) (of Apologia).
I doubt he'll come, but I sent him one anyhow, along with
a note of graditute for his science curriculum that I enjoyed so much!

Yesterday, Stpehani and I made, not only pizza,
but some sugar cookie dough for the children.
We thought they'd enjoy cutting out their own cookies...

They had fun, as did I!
Each one made 3, then Stephani and I
shaped the remaining dough into balls.
There ended up being more than expected!

Today I babysat while mom went out with
other ladies from the church.
She was so sweet and brought me home a new jacket!!!

I love the embroidery ...

She, also, brought me a new large Yankee candle jar

and a little porcelin bird box!
Well, I hope you all had a great week
and have a wonderful weekend.
Today I plan to spend some time writing a few letters
and continue working on my Greek.
Tomorrow is Second Coming Sunday at our church!

(Below is the portion of 1 Peter 4

that I've been able to memorize this week...)
"Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh,
arm yourselves likewise with the same mind:
for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
That he no longer should live the rest of his time
in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
For the time past of our life may suffice us
to have wrought the will of the Gentiles,
when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine,
revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
Wherein they think it strange that ye run not
with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
Who shall give account to him that
is ready to judge the quick and the dead.
For for this cause was the gospel preached
also to them that are dead, that they might be
judged according to men in the flesh,
but live according to God in the spirit.
But the end of all things is at hand:
be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves:
for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
Use hospitality one to another without grudging.
As every man hath received the gift,
even so minister the same one to another,
as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God;
if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth:
that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ,
to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Beloved, think it not strange concerning
the fiery trial which is to try you,
as though some strange thing happened unto you:
But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings;
that, when his glory shall be revealed,
ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye;
for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you:
on their part he is evil spoken of,
but on your part he is glorified."
Verses 1-14

That jacket is so pretty! The bird looks like a chickadee; my absolute favourite, though our local variety are the mountain kind with an additional white stripe breaking up the black cap. Awww... that's just too sweet.

The cookie part sounds like so much fun! I am wanting to make some sugar cookies during Christmas Season! Your jacket looks soooo cute! I have to say that I love the bird part! I hope you have a great graduation! We decided when I graduate (which will be in two more years, YAY!) we are just going to have a little celebration here in at home! I am planning to watch "Return of the Daughters" later on today! Such great inspiration!

Sorry about the long comment! So much stuff to say about your wonderful week!

Blessings,
Miss Alli

That's so neat that you sent an invitation for your graduation to Dr. Wile. I have enjoyed his science curriculum as well.
I like your jacket! It's so pretty. :)
Great job in memorizing 1 Peter 4! Keep it up!
