A Young Maiden's Daybook

Today…
February 9, 2009

Outside my window…
The sun is shining very brightly
in a beautiful, clear, blue sky

I am thinking…
of what I'm going to eat in a few minutes

I am thankful for…
God's longsuffering love

I am wearing…
khaki skirt and gray-beige mock turtleneck

I am reading…
1 Samuel, Psalms, Proverbs, Isaiah, Galatians (KJB);
"The Hiding Place" by Corrie Ten Boom,

"How To Pray" by R.A. Torrey

I am creating…
hymn arrangements,
including "Wonderful Grace of Jesus"
for an offeratory this coming Sunday

One of my favorite things…
composing solos, duets, etc...
of hymns on my instruments

For education this week…
Advanced Biology, Economics,
Literary Analysis, Government,
Rosetta Stone Modern Greek, etc...

A keeper at home skill I am using/learning…
I hope to bake something yummy this week :)

A spiritual lesson I’m learning…
humility.
I need to rely on God more in all I do.
I'm afraid I have too much self-confidence.

A godly character trait I plan to work on…
charity.
I plan focus on this the whole year

and it also "happens" to be our church's theme for this year.
The Lord's timing is perfect!

Scripture I am memorizing…
I plan on finding more to learn this week.
But until then, I'm going over all the
ones I've learned in the past 2 years.

I am praying for…
God to send more missionaries out
and for the ones I'm in contact with.

For the rest of the week…
lots of schoolwork, teach piano tomorrow,
Valentine's Day, and my heart monitor comes off!

A picture I’d like to share…

lol... I love you, mom!
I enjoy playing around with/altering photos sometimes.

I know it's not exactly a spiritually edifying photo but
"A merry heart doeth good like a medicine..." (Prov. 17:22)

Have a great week!

ugh. I'm sorry.. This is my 2nd week of not doing this, Sorry! We were having a missions meeting last week so we were busy with that and we had very good weather (around 70 degrees). Sorry, I can't say I'm the best supporter of this, LOL! Bye Ally,

♥Happy Valentine's Day,♥

I was looking for some song lyrics and just happens to surf on the link towards your old blog dated 2006. Nice blog! King James Bible and Old-fashioned! God Bless your heart. May you always fall in love with Christ.

Thanks for doing this, it is really great! It can let my reader's know more about me and my week without having to do a boring post!

I wanted to let you know that I wrote out the questions and put it into a pdf file. I didn't know if you wanted to let the others know so they could use it. It really makes it nice not having to type in the questions every week! The link is below. you just copy and paste the link into your web browser, download the file, and save it to your computer. Then, just copy and paste the questions onto your post every week! =:)

Also, it might be a good idea to make a blog button for it. If you would like to make one, or you would like me to make you one to share with everyone (it's a free thing), let me know. I think it would help to know who's doing it, and spread the word a bit and get people to your blog. =:) Let me know what you think? No pressure, please! I promise! =:)

Blessings!
~Rachel~
