Young Maiden's Daybook - November 30

Today…
November 30, 2009

Outside my window…

The sun is shining brightly in a bold blue sky!

I am thinking…
Of the things I plan to do today with my best friend.

I am thankful…
That November is almost over
and December is soon!!!

I am wearing...
Khaki skirt and brown jacket/blouse thing.

I am reading…
2 Chronicles, Proverbs, Ezekiel, Mark;
"Fascinating Truths" by James Knox
"The Lost Cause Series" by James Knox
"Do Hard Things" by Alex and Brett Harris
"Choosing Gratitude" by Nancy Leigh DeMoss with Mama ;o)
"Passionate Housewives Desperate For God"
by Jennie Chancey & Stacy McDonald

I am creating…

A scarf that I'm going to post about, a wool shawl,
homemade Christmas gifts for my immediate family,
and a list of things to make (when I get more yarn) for
my etsy shop.

One of my favorite things…
A day spent with my best friend (like today!)

For education this week…

I really need to call around for some field trips for our HS group;
"homecollege" a.k.a Daughter at Home University =)
preparing to be a Keeper at Home, for the mission field,
and studying in-depth Ecclesiology.
Also getting fluent in Modern Greek.

A keeper at home skill I am learning/using...
Knitting :-)
And I've brought back out cross-stitching.

A spiritual lesson I'm learning...
That not everyone has the same convictions I do,
and I need to have an active grace with those who differ.

A godly character trait I plan to work on…
Honoring parents (not just obeying)...
boy, is that more difficult the older you get!

Scripture I am memorizing…
"So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom,
and apply thine heart to understanding;
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge,
and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD,
and find the knowledge of God."
Proverbs 2:2-5 with my online friend

I'm praying for…
The Lord's guidance through my life.
That He would show me His truths from His Word,
and help me to be forgiving and have grace toward others.
The Lord to bless and to grow our church.
Also praying that He sends more missionaries to
the much needed country of Greece and the rest of the world.

For the rest of the week…
Going throughout the neighborhood
with my best friend to invite people to church today;
going to W*l-M*rt for fabric & yarn;
keeping up the house; a trip to the chiropractor (hopefully);
adding rick-rack to my Christmas skirt, and sashes for the children involved in
a "Keepers At Home" group we recently started;
working on instrument arrangements;
responding to some letters, comments and email
s;
spend extra time with my wonderful Savior;
and whatever else the Lord sees fit to send my way.

A picture I’d like to share...

What a nice family picture! Do you make your own dresses or does your mother do the sewing in your family? You have such beautiful dresses I wish I had the capability of making my own in my spare time.

Oh, I love your family picture too! And also, honoring, not just obey your parents!!

Have a good week! I did my daybook.

God Bless,

I wish it was sunny today, boy, did I need motivation. But I got through by singing songs in my head.

This year has gone by fast!!! Today is the last day of November!!! :D

I'm having a problem with obeying my parents, too. Especially, of not doing what I was told first. But I am still getting consequences.

I really love that picture of your family that was taken on Saturday.

I will try my best in getting my daybook posts up.
