Young Maiden's Daybook - November 17

I apologize for being a day late.
We enjoyed the pleasure of having
company over all day yesterday
and I was unable to sit at the computer.
Thank you for understanding. :-)

Today…
November 17, 2009

Outside my window…

Bright and sunny, chilling off as winter draws nearer!
(there was also quite a bit of bombing this morning
and now I'm hearing garbage trucks that sound like
what I think a wooly mammoth may have sounded like!)

I am thinking…
Of the things that need to get done today.

I am thankful…
That the Lord is gracious and forgiving.

I am wearing...
Sleepytime attire for now!

I am reading…
2 Chronicles, Proverbs, Ezekiel, Matthew;
"Do Hard Things" by Alex and Brett Harris
"Choosing Gratitude" by Nancy Leigh DeMoss with Mama ;o)
"Passionate Housewives Desperate For God"
by Jennie Chancey & Stacy McDonald

I am creating…

A scarf that I'm going to post about, a wool shawl,
homemade Christmas gifts for my immediate family,
as well as more things to list at my etsy shop.

One of my favorite things…
A crisp, clean, cold, cloudy day!

For education this week…

I need to call around for some field trips for our HS group;
"homecollege" a.k.a Daughter at Home University =)
preparing to be a Keeper at Home, for the mission field,
and studying in-depth Ecclesiology.
Also getting fluent in Modern Greek.

A keeper at home skill I am learning/using...
Knitting :-)

A spiritual lesson I'm learning...
That not everyone has the same convictions I do,
and I need to have an active grace with those who differ.

A godly character trait I plan to work on…
Growing in grace toward other Christians.

S cripture I am memorizing…
Ahh! I really need to actually find some more!
(I must admit I haven't been very diligent)

I'm praying for…
The Lord's guidance through my life.
That He would show me His truths from His Word,
and help me to be forgiving and have grace toward others.
The Lord to bless and to grow our church.
Also praying that He sends more missionaries to
the much needed country of Greece and the rest of the world.

For the rest of the week…
Posting something besides a daybook post!;
Getting out of the house to get more yarn and CDs;
keeping up the house; a trip to the chiropractor (hopefully);
a trip to Hancock's to get some fabric for Christmas pics;
getting out to invite the neighbors to our Christmas Pig Pickin' at church;
working on instrument arrangements;
finishing recording a CD for my friend;
busy crocheting and hopefully listing
some more things on my etsy site;
responding to some letters, comments and email
s;
spend extra time with my wonderful Savior;
and whatever else the Lord sees fit to send my way.

A picture I’d like to share...

A pine tree we pass on the way home...

As a countenance is made beautiful by the souls shining through it,
so the world is beautiful by the shining of God upon it.
~Jacobi
